Abstract and Research Question
What are the experiences of Ghanaian women giving birth in Worcester?
This research seeks to expand on that being done at Clark University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute to understand Ghanaian women’s health, and the challenges surrounding it. Ghanaian women have one of the highest infant mortality rates in Worcester. This study bridges information about the complex healthcare system, and Ghanaian women’s storytelling to understand why infant mortality is so high in the community, and how it may be decreased.
