Photograph of "R.H Goddard with steel combustion chamber and nozzle for rocket shown in preceding flight, 1915" (Esther Goddard's annotation). Handwritten right next to this is the note "about 1916". Written on the photograph itself is a note that says "1919 publicity".

'The Goddard Rocket Researches: A Photographic Record' is an annotated photo album covering Robert H. Goddard's work and experimentation with rocketry. It was assembled and curated by Esther Goddard sometime after her husband's passing in 1945. Additionally, almost all of the photographs were taken by Esther herself. This photograph was not taken by Esther as she and Robert did not meet until 1920.

Photographs were scanned at 400dpi.
