Description
In this interview, John Winkleman recalls his memories of Alice Higgins, whom he was very close to. John was a freshmen at Clark when he met Alice. They first worked together on a project to redo Atwood Hall. Alice, as John describes, was an incredibly caring and passionate person, which was shown through all she did for Clark and the people there. Through John’s stories, Alice Higgins can be remembered not just as a part of Clark’s history, but as someone who made a remarkable impact on people’s lives, including John’s. John’s hope is that the Clark students of today will be able to learn about who Alice Higgins was and why her name is included on so many of Clark’s buildings.
The Women of Clark oral history interviews follow the Worcester Women's Oral History Project rules. This means interviews are only edited to remove "ums" and "ahs". There have been no other edits made.
