Matt Jaskot: Hammers, Mallets and Sticks

This program includes 21st century works for piano and percussion performed by Matt Sharrock and Brian Calhoon, both members of the Boston Percussion Group, and pianists Matthew Jaskot and Mischa Salkind-Pearl. The concert features the world premiere of Jaskot's "Away From It All", a three-movement work for multi-percussion duo. Also on the program are Salkind-Pearl's Opal, for piano four-hands and mallet percussion and Augusta Read Thomas' Traces, for solo piano.
