Breen gave a talk titled “Queer Translations: Prime-Stevenson’s Imre (1906) and The Intersexes (1908) and the Emergence of Homosexual Identity”. This talk was from the event "German Discovery of Sex: Medicine, Activism, Literature" which took place on April 16, 2011 as part of the Henry J. Leir Chair Programming for the 2010-2011 season. Robert Tobin was the Henry J. Leir Chair from 2008 up until his passing in 2022.
