Photograph of Scott Spector (University of Michigan) with the Sigmund Freud statue on Clark University's campus green. Spector was there as a speaker for the symposium "The German Discovery of Sex: Activism, Medicine and Literature", which was part of the Henry J. Leir Chair programming for the 2010-2011 season. Spector's talk was called “The Bite of Zastrow: Sexuality and the Subject of Violence”.
Robert Tobin was the inaugural Henry J. Leir Chair in Language, Literature, and Culture from 2008 until his passing in 2022.
