Photograph of Michael Jennings (Princeton University) with the Sigmund Freud statue on Clark University's campus green. He was there as part of the Henry J. Leir Chair's programming for the 2011-2012 season with a talk called “Benjamin, Kracauer, and the Invention of Criticism of Popular Culture”. Walter Benjamin and Siegfried Kracauer were seminal cultural theorists of the 20th century.

Robert Tobin was the inaugural Henry J. Leir Chair in Language, Literature, and Culture from 2008 until his passing in 2022.
