Model for Risk-Based Dredging Decisions
Document Type
Conference Paper
Abstract
With the aims of overcoming the difficulty in determining annual dredging budgets and addressing dredging facility allocation over space and time, the development and application of a multi-objective dredging decision model, Reliability Based Dynamic Dredging Decision (RBD) model are discussed. The model explicitly evaluates how dredging costs and channel reliability levels vary under different assumptions for maintaining proper channel depths.
