Our faculty conduct research in a range of economics fields, including land use change, government regulations, and environmental planning, at the micro and macro levels.
Our students’ scholarship is fostered by our faculty whose impactful research has been recognized worldwide through:
- Publications: Our faculty’s research has been published in leading journals like the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy and the Review of Economics and Statistics, to name a few.
- Leadership: Several faculty hold editorial positions or leadership positions with the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, the Northeastern Agricultural and Resource Economics and the EPA's Science Advisory Board and Environmental Economics Advisory Committee.
- Funding: The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the National Science Foundation, and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, to name a few, have funded faculty research through grants.
- Collaboration: Our faculty’s collaborations with economists worldwide at organizations like the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and the Central Bank of Luxembourg provide important connections between the university and professional organizations.
