Drawing on his then new book, Poland in the Modern World: Beyond Martyrdom, which pushed discussion of Polish Antisemitism beyond the familiar emphasis on Polish tragedy and suffering, Porter-Szücs discussed the context for understanding modern Polish history within a global framework.
