Abstract

It was the purpose of this investigation to study the effects of adrenalectomy on gastric ulceration and to attempt to clarify the mechanism of ulcer formation in the rat. The effect of corticosterone therapy on the incidence of ulcers in nonstressed and stressed, adrenalectomized rats was studied to determine whether glucocorticoids play a role in the formation of gastric ulcers.
