Abstract
This section examines the relations among metacognition, epistemic-thinking, and conceptual change. The contributions show that metacognition and epistemic-thinking are multifaceted phenomena that can be analyzed at both individual and social levels, and that there are multiple mechanisms by which they interact with content-specific conceptual change.
