Introduction: A feminist international relations approach to the Middle East/North Africa
Document Type
Editorial
Abstract
The articles in this Special Issue draw on feminist IR literature and research within Middle East women’s studies – which has its own association and journal – and seek to expand it by contributing research from scholars that center the Middle East region and issues in their gender and IR work. Across the social sciences, MENA feminist scholars have long contributed important analyses of the state, nationalism, revolution, family law, social policy, economic restructuring, nationalism, wars, civil society and women’s movements.
