Description

In 1893, Clark University exhibited materials from the University at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. It is not known which photographs of this series were actually included in the exhibit. This photo shows instructors and students from the Mathematics and Physics departments. This is the same group of men depicted in both "(46) Instructors and Students in Mathematics and Physics (1892-1893)", "[4] Instructors and Students in Mathematics and Physics (1892-1893)", and "[5] Math -- Physics Group (1892-1893)".

The back of this photograph contains writing that identifies some of the subjects of this photograph. It reads: "Top Row: ?, Clarence A. Saunders, Benjamin F. Ellis, T. Proctor Hall, Herbert G. Keppel, Thomas F, Nichols, ?, ?, ? Bottom Row: ?, Prof. Arthur G. Webster, Prof. William E. Story, Prof. Henry Taber, Thomas F. Holgate"

All imposed numbers have been placed in brackets: '[6]' indicates this is the sixth unnumbered non-duplicate photograph within the series.
