Abstract
This thesis represents a study of the Voice of America and World Radio University activities and an attempted evaluation of their influence abroad. The study deals primarily with the following questions: (1) Is the role played by short-wave radio important? (2) Is there a significantly large world audience? (3) What can be done to prove it?
