Hate, Genocides, Terrorism, and Massacre

Abstract
Robert Sternberg will speak on the role of hate in genocides, terrorism, and massacres as well as how governments and religious groups use propaganda and other devices to cultivate and motivate hate among their group members. He will focus on the nature and specific parts of hate as well as examples of target individuals and groups who contribute to hate. The lecture will include a discussion of how hate is related to other constructs, such as love.
