Abstract

Today's students are more technologically competent and globally connected than ever. However, those charged with teaching them often fail to fully engage "New Century" students and miss opportunities to make maximum use of the exciting culture they are creating. Gloria Ladson-Billings, one of America’s leading educational theorists, addressed the way youth culture is re-shaping culturally relevant pedagogy to cross racial, cultural, gender, linguistic, and global boundaries.
