Abstract

It is the purpose of this thesis to try through a study of the land use to uncover possible factors affecting the future of the reservoir as a source of water supply. Data concerning items in connection with the study are usually scarce or sometimes not available at all. And if they are available, in many cases they are not nearly detailed enough to provide answers to the almost infinite variety of field conditions which are encountered. The author is aware of the complicated nature of the subject.

Contains many maps, tables, and figures.
