Description

In 1950, Anna Freud visited Clark University to speak at a Symposium on Genetic Psychology for the institution's sixtieth anniversary and to receive an honorary doctorate of laws for her significant contributions to psychoanalysis and child psychology. During Anna's visit, a statue of Sigmund Freud was formally presented to Clark by The American Psychoanalytic Association. The statue can be seen between Rudolf Loewenstein and Anna Freud. On the left is Howard B. Jefferson, Clark University President (1946-1967).
