The fugitives of Zeytun who turned themselves in, on the advice and promise of the extension of a pardon, were transported to Marash [Marash [Maraş]] just at the time of the suspicious death of Sergeant Nazaret Yenidunyaian; permission to have his remains taken to church for the religious rites were declined.
